Is the last panel meant to be a Wicked joke? Because that would just make my birthday.
awwwe… I want a series that follows the kid versions of these characters now.
They’d have to go way back for a kid version of Richard. … or just get Hctib to cast the chibifying curse on him again.
Looks like they granted your wish. Tiny Dick Adventures link at the top of the page. Yay!
Is it Richard in a dress?
ain’t Richard always in a dress?
But not in one from the sisterhood…
It’s not Richard – the face isn’t white enough and doesn’t have the green marks over the right(?) eye.
Sigh. It’s her mother, kiddies. Or at the very least a representative thereof. She had two eyes once upon a time, you know. Also some Sisters are bluer, and I’m not sure if that’s an inherited or acquired trait.
her mum is blue and a pirate
Call it a career change. And a makeover.
Or I could be half-wrong and it’s a representative of her mother.
But it sure sounds like her, and storywise it feels right.
It would be nice to think that this is her mother, wearing makeup or something, before she left or was kicked out of the order. I’d love it if she did take part in her daughter’s training. If it is her, then Benny’s feelings towards her might change when she finds out.
Er… well… read through five more pages.
OH MY GOD
SINCE WHEN WAS THERE A COMMENTS THREAD?!?
have YOU ever tried to backflip in a robe? It’s bloody difficult, I can tell you!
Speaking from experience there, Adamas?
actually, yes. The details are listed “eyes only, burn before reading. Kill yourself after reading”
Wooot a comment section? Okay…
Awwwww she’s so cute :3 Also apparently so prominent in magic at so young age?
+2 defying gravity :O ROFLMAO!!!!
I think it was a funny joke.
Sohmer? Thank you for the comments section. Also, this page is adorably funny.
I’ve been reading this comic for many years as well (I believe when I started I only had 15-20 pages to read to catch up to current from page 1). I have been and continue to be a huge fan! At some point years ago, I bought the first edition Richard plush which has been proudly displayed atop a plush dragon next to my monitor ever since. Keep up the good work guys!
Yay comments! Weeeeee! … okay, now that I’ve gotten *that* out of my system…
It is so cool to see her as a kid!
Also; I adore this comic. Thanks so much!
GREAT…comment. but I don’t presently have anything to say!
Just glad to see a simple commenting system. Also, I’m loving the new direction the story is taking. I can’t wait to see if/how these storylines connect.
Love the wicked reference
Oh no… a comment section… winter truly is coming…
And on that note, looking forward to the new story arc! Keep up the good work guys!
Quick, use a phrase from a 15 year old book, that’ll make you witty.
Quick, make a snide remark instead of just laughing at a joke, that’ll make you cool in the interwebs
i challenge everyone to comment every single page of this comic
i challenge everyone to comment every single page on this comic
chibi joon is every bit as cute and irascible as I imagined
Forbidden for them to even talk…..That holds so many implications for the seriousness of Crunch and blue pirate lady’s (I forget her name at the moment) relationship. You know, the one that produced this little Gid in the first place. The story deepens.
Krunch is not Gid’s (short for Green kID) biological father – otherwise she would be half elf/half bloodrage.
I know what Gid stands for. And from what i read there was indication that he is her real father. Her hands and feet are similar to a bloodrage’s and her facial markings mimic Krunch’s. Again, that’s how I read things. But I think there’s gonna be different speculations going on. Like how a lot of people seem convinced that sister is Richard. I really don’t think so. *shrug*
I was under the impression that she was related to the hand people in some way. It would explain her colouration
If that were true, I’d expect her to have more fingers, not less. I think Krunch is her biological father. Her hands are identical in shape to a Bloodrage’s.
It could be that Tah’vraay or this sister cast as spell on her as an infant, to change her skin color to green, to hide her lineage. Or, it could be that green skin is the normal biological result of the union of a Bloodrage and a Sister. Hmm… if a mingling of their bloodlines in the ancient past led to the creation of the Troll race, that would explain why for them, even talking is taboo.
For all intensive purposes he is her dad, but whether or not he is the father, who knows. Generally when someone is adopted into a group, they do partake in similar activities, like giving her markings like those of the clan.
For all intents and purposes.
It’s a commonly used cliche’, if you’re going to repeat it at least get the words right. If you can’t even do that, no way you even know what the cliche’ actually means. Which means you’re not even communicating your ideas into words, you’re just being a parrot, repeating phrases without comprehension.
maybe ash meant intensive purposes:P, or perhaps ash speaks English as a second language, maybe ash is the emperor of Rome an therefore above . grammar. Who knows?, and dose it really matter; its the internet, grammar tends to take a backseat when people talk here, all that matters is that people communicate their ideas into words; which ash has done; and by the very fact you commented ergo you comprehended her worded ideas makes your whole argument ierelephant ( any argument that does not contain an elephant is irelephant).
Love this comic. Would love for it to be a Mon Weds Fri deal though! Two pages a week is not enough.
I agree. The new stuff they’re coming out with is great and all, but if that time were shot into some more core LFG I’d love it.
Cast not casted
Kids aren’t known for perfect grammar.
I know but it still bugs me in text
Comments? This. . .this wasn’t always here, was it?
Anyway, awesome comic, and young Benny is adorable.
ya comments is new
As long as he indiscriminately slaughters innocent things he can keep his undead state, or at least slow his reversion.
I always knew Richard was part of some secret organization, now I am wondering if perhaps he was originally taken in by the Sisters and branched off on his own at some point?
Also, WOOT! Comments!
Nah, it can’t be Richard…he once commented that they wouldn’t let him join, after all.
Well, if he was an orphan, and they raised him, he could have learned from them, but then not have been allowed to join the order, since he’s male.
The similarity between their robes makes me think he has some history with the Sisters. Maybe men aren’t allowed to learn their magic, but he did. That could be the reason he was cursed. The black robes could be his way of showing off the fact that he’s the “black sheep of the family”.
who needs dark arts when you have cuteness?
I didn’t know that the Sisters were into the dark arts. Makes me wonder if Richard at least trained with them.
that sister is richard! you saw a while back that richard has a normal human skin tone underneath the white stuff and the general body shape and look of the sister is almost exactly like richard but in lighter colored clothing. also you hardly ever seen anyone aside from richard actually yell any.
also previous page “not ones that are alive” its richard 100% sureness.
No, but the Sisters leader is Mother. What if Richard is Father? XD
i want more it is so fanny
Richard is only pale when he stops being all of the Evil
Huzzah, I can finally see what other people think about this comic… Also, little Gid is adorable
I don’t think that sister is Richard, that sister has a way different body type and eyelashes. Probably just a confidant of the Captain.
Agreed. She’s probably a mutual friend of Captain Tah’vraay and Krunch, who is still in the order, and who is on their secret.
Hi there, this comic is almost all you want from a true RPG, a lot of moments (roleplay, totally out of place ones and diferent levels of fun), keep it on its hilarious and i love trying to figure the history of each character, hope we can construct a little compendium in the forums to keep track of special events becouse this comic is long (and hope way longer than the 29 books in the archive) since keeping track of all the chars at the time can be hard time… think im buying some shinies soon, want to see more parodies made by the comic (like the gangnam style one… specially the spider one it is f****** amusing) and quotes of the heroes.
And not, RICHARD CANT BE A SISTER IMO since it would be considered a son… he is a male guys, viewing it from the rpg aspect Benny is such a munchkin… still trying to wonder who the hell is her father, i dont see her as Half-Bloodrage since she doesnt have any features exept from the fingers (cant figure anyway never saw a female Bloodrage tho) but i can say pirate parents often generate some weird offsprings, and as we can see interracial relationships (and gay goblins… amusing next lvl) are quite often seen in this comic lets see how the history continues.
Greetings from Colombia (excuse my english not a native speaker… but please correct me so I can communicate better) and all my support to the team great job
I think we know that Krunch is her real father. At least it was strongly implied. He and Captain Tah’vraay had a relationship in the past, and I think she left Benny with Krunch because of what both the Bloodrage and the Sisters would do to Benny, if they found out she was the product of their two races. In the flashback to the ship, it seemed that Krunch was still holding a grudge against Tah’vraay for abandoning him and Benny.
I think Krunch pretended to adopt her, because adopting an orphan of unknown lineage was probably more acceptable to the Bloodrage than knowing that Krunch had mixed their bloodline with the Sisters.
I think Tah’vraay has felt guilty ever since she left Benny and Krunch, and that’s probably part of the reason she left the Sisters for a life of piracy. That, or maybe she had a falling out with Mother, when Mother found out about Benny. She might have even been excommunicated. I hope we learn Captain Tah’vraay’s backstory soon.
But past tense of cast is cast
Actually casted is a proper past tense that had simply fallen out of usage. It is, however, staging a comeback. Welcome to the English language.
Chuck is correct, according to grammarist . com/usage/casted/
It seems appropriate to use the old form in the context of this “old timey” story. What bugs me is when webcomic authors obviously misspell a word, when it’s not a case of the character misusing the language. Such things as confusing there, their, and they’re, or its and it’s. I do tend to politely comment on it, so they can correct it before they print a book.
lol, loved the comic from day one and it only gets better, thank you to the people who make this magic possible
lol I NEEDE THAT LAUGH “DEFY GRAVITY – +2″
She failed her dexterity check.
Gotta love this gid.. :’D
No, I seriously doubt it. In his flashback to childhood, Richard was dressed as a boy and looked human. (Or elven, his hair covered his ears so we couldn’t tell) Also, the voice calling to him in that flashback called him master or lord something or other. It was a male title. (That’s not to say that he’s never switched bodies with a sister before. I’d be willing to bet that he’s had female parts at some point in his past.) Add time travel to that, and his “I’m my own grandmother” line becomes disturbingly possible…
Hey! Benny stuck that belly flop! (Even the Russian judges gave it a 10 out of 10)
